Dr. Tyler Jost from Brown University Pays a Visit to SIS
On March 4, 2024, Tyler Jost, an Assistant Professor specializing in Political Science, International, and Public Affairs at Brown University, and holder of a Ph.D. from Harvard University, accepted an invitation to the School of International Studies at Renmin University of China for a roundtable discussion with selected faculty members and students.

Guest Lecture "The Past, Present, and Future of Sino-American Relations” Was Successfully Held

On March 11, 2024, a lecture titled 'The Past, Present, and Future of Sino-American Relations' was held in Room 401 of the Lide Building at Renmin University of China. The lecture was delivered by Professor Odd Arne Westad, Elihu Professor of History and Global Affairs in Jackson School of Global Affairs at Yale University. Deputy Dean Li Chen of the School of International Studies at Renmin University moderated the event, with Professor Shi Yinhong participating in the discussion.

Associate Professor Mikael Weissmann Visits SISRUC

On February 29, 2024, Dr. Mikael Weissmann, Associate Professor at the Department of War Studies and Military History and Deputy Head of Land Operation Division, Swedish Defense University, was invited to visit the School of International Studies at Renmin University of China. Dr. Weissmann graduated from the University of Gothenburg and served as a visiting scholar at the School of International Studies at Renmin University of China twice, from 2004 to 2005 and from 2006 to 2007.

Ye Chenghai ’s Fifth Donation to Renmin University of China, Establishing the “Chenghai Institute for Global Development and Security”

He studied at Renmin University of China at 20 years old. Now, at 80 years old, he donates for the fifth time to Renmin University of China. Mr. Ye Chenghai’s appreciation for his alma mater is something we are moved by and grateful for. He once said, “Students never forget their teachers. No matter where they go, they always hold a sense of gratitude towards their mentors and alma mater.”
