On April 1st, 2025, Professor Shaun Breslin, a renowned UK-based China scholar, Co-Editor of Pacific Review, and faculty member at the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick, visited the School of International Studies (SIS) at Renmin University of China.
Dean Yang Guangbin, on behalf of SIS, extended a warm welcome to Professor Breslin and expressed gratitude for his three decades of academic collaboration that has significantly contributed to the development of the School of International Studies. Dean Yang also highlighted the school's recent achievements in the two fields of studies - historical politics and world politics.
Following the welcome remarks, Dean Yang, Professor Song Xinning, Deputy Deans Li Wei and Li Chen, Professor Bao Jianyun, Associate Professors Luo Tianhong, Xu Zhengyuan, and Ji Xianbai, along with faculty members Wu Di, Liu Lina, and Lian Chenchao, engaged in an in-depth discussion with Professor Breslin. The roundtable discussion centered on three pivotal aspects of China-EU relations: their historical development, emerging trends, and underlying determinants that are shaping the bilateral dynamic.
