Exchanges at School of International Studies, Renmin University of China
School of International Studies, Renmin University of China is delighted to provide students from our partner institutions with the opportunity to study in Renmin for one semester or one academic year as exchange students. Each semester we welcome a new group of students who expect not only explore their intellectual interest in international studies from a different perspective but also cultivating their understanding on the most dynamic country-China and its people while living in China’s capital city.

Admission process at RUC
International Students Office will review the applications after the deadline and the admission package will be posted to the students about one month after the application deadline. The package will include the admission letter, JW form (for visa application), accommodation application form, registration information and other documents.

Exchange students with excellent proficiency of the Chinese language can also follow courses instructed in Chinese. But for the information on Chinese taught courses, students need to contact the program coordinator as only regular full-time students can get access to them.
We also provide Chinese language course to exchange students. Students will take the placement test first and then be assigned to different class levels accordingly.
Exchange students do not have to register for courses online. The program coordinator will help the students to enroll in courses during the first two weeks of the semester.
Accommodation application
School of International Studies tries its best and aims to arrange on-campus accommodation for all exchange students who apply for it, but we cannot guarantee it.
